Born and raised in Quincy, Washington. Eric grew up on the family farm, where he learned from a young age to work hard and play hard. During the off-season he would duck hunt and fish for Salmon on the Columbia River. He turned his love for the outdoors into a livelihood when he started his first guide business hunting for ducks and geese In the Columbia River Basin.
After visiting Alaska for the first time he knew this is where he wanted to be. He sold all his farm equipment, bought a drift and a power boat and his parents helped him move up in a fifth wheel.
He started his second and final guide service in 2001 fishing the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers for all the salmon Alaska has to offer. He truly feels like he hit the jackpot in life getting to fish and share the wonders of Alaska and its great fisheries with family, friends and all of you. Fishing for salmon is his calling, and if you hang out with him too much, he’ll have you convinced Alaska’s the place for you as well!”
Ryan Rosenbaum began fishing the Kenai river in 2003. He became fast friends with Eric during the summer while swapping fishing stories over a campfire and good food. While home-base for Ryan and his family is in Lewiston ID he still loves coming up in the summers to fish the Kenai with Eric.
Each summer he and his wife LaChelle bring their two daughters, Kaylee and Katelynn, up to Alaska for another season full of fishing, family and fun. When Ryan isn’t fishing on the Kenai, you can find him fishing or hunting somewhere in Alaska, Washington, Idaho, Oregon or Wyoming. Though Ryan’s ‘home’ rivers may be in ID and WA it all began on the Kenai.
10 days after graduating High School in 2013 Sierra packed her bags and headed to Alaska. Earlier that year Sierra had received a call from Eric, her cousin, asking if she would want to come up and nanny for him during the fishing season. Always one up for an adventure and challenge, Sierra accepted.
Before even setting foot in the great state of Alaska, she knew she loved it. That summer only reaffirmed this with each adventure she had and every moment she spent fishing with family. Now, years later, she’s a seasoned river guide and can help you catch the trophy salmon of your dreams!
