Born and raised in Quincy, Washington. Eric grew up on the family farm, where he learned from a young age to work hard and play hard. During the off season he would Duck hunt and fish for Salmon on the Columbia River. After graduating from college he decided to start a guide business Duck hunting. Eventually he made his way to Alaska and has never left. He loves everything about Alaska and the Kenai River. Fishing for King Salmon is his calling, and if you hang out with him too much, he’ll have you convinced Alaska is the place for you as well!
Kasey grew up in Oregon on the Burk family farm. Number 3 of 4 farm girls, she’s always loved being outdoors and chasing adventures. After college, she jumped on the opportunity to work in Alaska for the summer… And 14 years later she’s still here! In 2006 she started guiding for a fly-out Charter Company and then moved to the Kenai River a couple years later. She still loves to guide fly-outs for most of our visitors, but only when she’s not spending time with her true love – fishing the Kenai River! (Sorry Eric!)
We love Alaska and everything about it. As adventurers and outdoorsy people, Alaska was a natural fit. We both came here nearly two decades ago, and we can’t imagine ever leaving. We’re raising our two beautiful daughters on the banks of the Kenai, Kasilof and Russian Rivers, and hope they’ll pick up our same love of the outdoors. We’ve learned a thing or two about “Alaskan hospitality” and look forward to having you stay at our lodge. We want you to experience the adventure and excitement of reeling in a King Salmon, flying out to see bears up close and personal, or fishing the Cook Inlet for some delicious Halibut or a Winter King. We hope you’ll stop in soon, and see for yourself the beauty of Alaska. Hey, maybe you’ll be like us, and never go home!
